Completed by Andrews Design Build Ltd this 18m x 18m colorsteel hangar. The engineer for this project was Alan Reay Consultants Ltd. It incorporates steel portal frames, fabricated by Red Steel Ltd, and has our new concertina doors to give a clear 16m wide x 3.4m high opening.
Ardmore Airport, South Pacific Aviation Hangar
A 27m x 15m concrete hangar built to the specifications of the client and designed by Andrews Design Build Ltd with engineering by Wilton Joubert Ltd of Auckland. This hangar will have our new concertina doors to give a 16m wide x 5.2m high opening.
Christchurch International Airport Ltd, Christchurch
Two separate 30 plane concrete hangars for the Canterbury Aero Club Inc. were built upon request. They are of strong and safe concrete construction and include the Canterbury Aero Club Inc. modern engineering facility. Also at this time we did an 18m x 18m colorsteel hangar across the other side of the airport.
Two hangars side by side were built in 2001. These are both 18m x 18m and were of tiltup concrete construction specifically designed for the aircraft that was to be housed.
Also a 24m x 15m concrete hangar at the same airfield.
A 30m wide x 21m deep hangar with large opening doors was built for aircraft engineer, Pat Scotter of Rangiora Aircraft Engineering. It has separate lounge / cafe and fully set out kitchen and office facilities.
In 1999, Ian took a crew of 4 men and himself to Tonga and built a 37m clear span colorsteel hangar to house the Royal Tongan Airlines 737. All materials were taken from New Zealand and took a total of two months to complete.
